fire escape

I must say that I love NYC. Everywhere you turn you can have an interesting background for a photo shoot. I have shot on my rooftop and fire escape multiple times now and I always find a new angle or area that I can shoot.

These are some shots I did with a model/friend Geoff. We are both shocked that we could even do a shoot this day because we both decided that we would hang out till late the night before than get up with only a few hours of sleep then do a shoot. Not the best idea, but hey, at least we got something accomplished in our day.

These images made me start thinking....I want to do a whole series of shots that are a little old school, rugged NYC. Any male volunteers?

kids

Here is another set of photos from when I was back home in Michigan. I got to see my cousin Tracy & her 4 kids. Her youngest just turned 2 and she wanted some photos of him & since we were doing photos, she wanted some of all her kids. It was great except all the mosquitoes! Who would of thought they would be so intense at 10 am! Note to self and anyone going to Richfield park in Davison, MI, bring mosquito repellent! We got some good images of the kids even with all the bugs.

Ella

So I managed to get away from the city and go back home to Michigan for a few days. While I was there I got to do some photos of little ones....both my friend Sarah's little girl and my cousin Tracy's kids.

These photos are of Sarah's little girl Ella. Ella turned 2 back in May on Mother's Day. We just went to a park and let Ella run around while I tried to capture some images. And she did just that, ran around. That's ok, that's what 2 year olds do! It was fun and entertaining. Ella is such a cute little girl with one heck of a personality. Plus, I got to see her Mama....it was a good day!
